Summer Holt Miller

Summer Miller  is the group’s soprano. Summer is from Albemarle, NC but grew up singing Southern Gospel Music while spending time with her grandparents on their farm in Finger, NC.  She is a dedicated Christian with a heart to share God’s music and love with others.  Summer has a degree in English and a minor in Communications from UNCGreensboro. She works as the office manager of Love-N-Care daycares in Albemarle and manages websites when she’s not traveling and singing for the Lord. Summer has one step-daughter, Britan, and one son, Jet David, born on February 1st, 2006. She is married to Jody Miller and a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC.  Her life verse is John 3:30, “He must increase, I must decrease.”

Highlight of career: Every time I see, or hear, about a life changed due to God working through our ministry.
Most embarrassing moment: Mountain Creek Harmony has been singing the National Anthem for many years so when I was asked to sing it at a race, I gladly accepted. However, half-way through I realized that I was singing harmony. Did I mention it was a solo? 
People you most admire: Melvin & Maedene Barbee (My aunt and uncle).
One thing people do not know about you: The handkerchiefs I carry onstage with me once belonged to my Grandma Holt. I miss her dearly!  
If you weren't singing, what would you like to be doing?
Designing websites full-time and being more involved in my home church, Prospect Baptist. 
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Grown.  Now, I want to be young again.
What do you listen to on the radio? Don’t laugh…Christmas Music Year Round!!!
If you had a month to spend traveling, where would you go? Italy
What was your favorite decade and why? I got married in 2003 and had my son in 2006 so I’m pretty sure I’m living in my favorite decade so far.
What snacks do you get at the movies? Popcorn, snow-caps, and a Mountain Dew! Can you say “Sugar Rush”!
What is your favorite time of day? Evening

Favorite sandwich: Bologna, Mayonnaise, and Potato Chips between two slices of soft white bread! Yum!
