Mountain Creek Harmony is a Southern Gospel trio from Albemarle, NC. Since April 2001, Mountain Creek Harmony has been spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through traditional Southern Gospel songs, hymns, and original songs. The group’s members, Summer Miller, Aaron Otten and Monica Otten, say that they are “just a bunch of young’uns who want to sing and tell about the love of the Lord to anyone who will listen.” Mountain Creek Harmony was the 2002 Winner of the North Carolina Mountain State Fair Group Competition, and they were National Finalists in the 2003 INSP Networks’ Christian Artist Talent Search. Their first project, entitled “New Creation,” was released April 2003.  They are all members of Prospect Baptist Church located in Albemarle, North Carolina.

Summer Miller  is the group’s soprano. Summer is from Albemarle, NC and has been singing Southern Gospel music all her life. She is a dedicated Christian with a heart to share God’s music with others. Summer has a degree in English and a minor in Communications from UNCGreensboro. She works as the office manager of Love-N-Care daycares of Albemarle when she’s not traveling and singing for the Lord. Summer and her husband, Jody, have a daughter, Britan, and a son, Jet David, born on February 1st, 2006. Her life verse is John 3:30, “He must increase, I must decrease.”

The group’s tenor is Aaron Otten. Aaron, originally from Greensboro, NC, now resides in Granite Quarry, NC. Aaron has been involved in music throughout his life and loves singing for the Lord. He is also one of the songwriters for Mountain Creek Harmony. Aaron has a degree in Geography with a concentration in Environmental Science from UNCGreensboro and is employed with the City of Salisbury, NC. He and his wife, Monica, the group’s alto, have a handsome son named Samuel who was born on November 21, 2002 and a beautiful daughter, Katherine, born on July 28th, 2005. Aaron’s life verse is 1 Samuel 3:19, “The Lord was with Samuel as he grew, and he let none of his words fall to the ground.”

Monica Otten  is the alto for Mountain Creek Harmony. Monica has been singing Southern Gospel music her whole life. At age 7, she began playing piano by ear and began writing songs at age 16. She is currently a songwriter, as well as pianist and arranger for Mountain Creek Harmony. Monica has a degree in Music Education from UNCGreensboro and is currently a music teacher at an area middle school in Salisbury, NC. She is originally from Stedman, NC, but now resides in Granite Quarry, NC with her husband, Aaron, their son Samuel and their daughter, Katherine. Monica’s life verse is Phillipians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.” 

Mountain Creek Harmony is blessed to have a wonderful sound and support staff: The man behind the “big sound box” is Jerry Holt, Jr. of Troy, NC. God has gifted Jerry with a sharp ear and a talent for making singers sound great. Coordinating the group’s products and marketing is Jody Miller, originally of Salisbury, NC. Thanks to Jody’s professional style, Mountain Creek Harmony always puts their best foot forward. Jody is married to Summer, the group’s soprano. Kim Holt, originally of Johnson City, TN has been blessed with a ministry all her own. God has instilled in Kim a love and patience of caring for children. Currently, She uses this gift to care for the Mountain Creek children, and we expect her ministry to grow as Mountain Creek Harmony "grows!". Kim is married to Jerry and they have a son, Jaxon Alexander, born on April 16, 2006.
